In this class we are learning about inequalities, fractions, integers, ,how to solve for x, combining like terms, and many other things that we will go do this year.
Composition Books We use composition books to write down our homework. I have about a quarter of the pages filled up with my homework. We will sometimes do worksheets, but it mainly everything is down in our composition books. For homework, my teacher normally assigns us a couple of problems from our book and has us do at home. Then when we come back the next day, he has us grade our homework, and then he goes over some problems that we may have missed or were challenging problems. then we go over the next lesson and the cycle starts over.
Our composition books also serve the purpose of notes. They act like the text book. So if you have to find the square root of 625, my teacher had us write down our squares from two to twenty-five. I can relate to this because every year we had to write notes in journals so we wouldn't forget them. This helps you later on, too. When you begin to do harder stuff in math note taking skills and already taken notes can come in handy. So when I learn a ney math topic I am going to take notes for myself in the future. |
